Faith is a common virtue held in high esteem at Ten Links. We acknowledge a belief in a higher power that has helped us to get to this point in our lives and are very grateful for the success we have experienced. We give thanks to God at the beginning of all of our gatherings for all we have received. We are confidence that God is trustworthy in truth and love. We depend on this higher power as the source of all good things. We try, through direct thought and action, to live in accordance with His plan.
As Christians, we do not only have a secure belief in God, we also have an acceptance that what God tells us to do is for our benefit. A part of the definition of faith is accepting God’s will over our own will. This means that we understand that what God is asking us to do will always work out for the good of those who love and listen to Him. Our actions and health choices reflect this belief.
Faith means we must act on what we believe. We also have faith that if we follow our prescribed regimen, we will stay compliant and successful in keeping off the weight we have lost. We must daily practice what we believe to stay healthy and trust that our actions will keep us that way.
